    Thank you for stopping by the Muñoz Isshinryu Martial Arts Academy web site.  This site is intended to keep our students informed about school activities and upcoming events.

      Muñoz Isshinryu Martial Arts Academy is located at 26 South Brady St. in Du Bois, PA.  The school is across the street from the Du Bois Public Library on the 2nd floor.  For the time being, the entrance will be in rear of the building.

      Du Bois Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  An advance class (Brown belt and higher) is also held on Sundays from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.  Classes are held by Renshi Daniel Muñoz, Go Dan (5th Degree Black Belt), Mr. Ray Schindley & Mr. David Duncan, Ni Dan (2nd Degree Black Belt), Kenneth Loweranitis & Mrs. Tanya Ghezzi Sho Dan (1st Degree Black Belt).    All instructors are AIKA members and certified.

      Fees for classes are $25.00 per month for all students and their immediate families.   A "Family" (3 members from the same household or more qualify)& "Year Paid In Full" plans are available.

      The Muñoz Isshinryu Martial Arts Academy is Master by Hanshi Phillip R. Furgason - Ku Dan (9th Degree Black Belt), the President of the American Isshinryu Karate Association (AIKA) of Houston, Texas.  This school is an active member of the AIKA and the OIKKA (Okinawa Isshinryu Karate & Kobudo Association), Hanshi Angi Uezu's association.  Renshi Muñoz is the Secretary for the AIKA.
